Barney Masterson Inn of Court (“BMIC”), a member court to the American Inns of CourtAaron Swift, an associate in Leavengood, Dauval & Boyle, P.A.’s consumer law department, presented a lecture on e-Discovery to the Barney Masterson Inn of Court (“BMIC”), a member court to the American Inns of Court.  The BMIC is a local group of lawyers and judges who have the mutual interest of addressing the issues of civility and ethics in lawyer-to-lawyer and lawyer-to-judge relations.  Collectively, the American Inns of Court strive to improve the quality of legal professionalism in the United States, and the BMIC is named after Barney Masterson in honor of his contributions to the Pinellas County legal community. 

Mr. Swift was grouped together with 9 other local attorneys, and Circuit Court Judge Amy Williams, as the Civil Law group of the BMIC.  The group was asked to present a lecture to the BMIC regarding e-Discovery, or electronic discovery.  E-Discovery refers to discovery in civil litigation which deals with the exchange of information in electronic format—often referred to as electronically stored information or ESI.  The presentation was a great success as e-Discovery is a hot topic in litigation, and Leavengood, Dauval & Boyle, P.A. is pleased to be at the forefront of such an important issue in the local community.
