When I first moved to Florida last year I found it necessary to dispute a furniture store who insisted I accept and pay for inferior goods. Aaron Swift contacted the vendor corporate headquarters and was able to have my money refunded completely…a year later I tried to purchase a condo and become ensnared in some dubious contract manipulating by the seller. Jordan Isringhaus and Teiah Hester were able to get the contract cancelled and my deposit returned within 30 days of the contract signing. This law firm is wonderful! Ian and his team at Leavenlaw are amazing. They say that 100 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean is a good start, well you might want to keep this one back on land. I have had several issues over the years and dealt with many different lawyers. Most lawyers do not have your best interest in mind and see $$ bills when you have an issue. i have been led into some litigation from shady lawyers that only racked up fees for them and their BMW payment. This is not the case at Leavenlaw. Ian at Leavenlaw has approached the 3 issues that I have had with amazingly sound advice that saved me money and also saved me from the stress and heartache of litigation. On the issues he advised us to move forward on, we won and on the issue he advised us not to move forward on (even with other shady lawyers telling us we should move forward). In hindsight Ian approached the issue as though it was his own and clearly did not take advantage of us (even though he could have like the other shady lawyers). I have used the Law Firm of Ian Leavengood and Associates in the past for business and personal matters years ago with great success. Ian delivered everything that was agreed upon. Just recently I had a business customer that I had dealings with that would not pay me for the work that I had done for them that was not of the ordinary realm of business. It was 5 years ago almost to the date. I had more bills than I knew what to do with. I lost my income and job and had a baby on the way. The last thing I ever wanted was to file for bankruptcy. I didn’t want to be judged by society. I had so many fears,but the bills and the calls would not stop. I didn’t know what to do. I called Ian Leavengoods office. I can now say that was one of the best choices I made over the last 6 years, besides getting married and having kids. I first met with Ian Leavengood in his office to explain what happened in my life. He listened to every word and assessed the situation. He was one of the smartest attorneys I had ever sat and chatted with. He made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions. After being educated on the Chapter 13 Bankruptcy and its process. Ian collected all my information to see if I qualified for that option. A few days later I met back at his office. I did qualify and was able to file for a Chapter 13 and all my financial problems went away. So I thought. The calls would not stop !!! I figured since I filed for a Bankruptcy all my creditors should be notified and leave me alone. This WAS NOT the case !!! A few collection companies continued to call and harass myself and my wife. As soon as I made that clear to the team ant Leavengood& Nash and my attorney Ian Leavengood they called the collection companies and filed a law suit against them for harassing me. This ended in a payout. I was able to apply the money towards my BK case and ended up finishing a 5 year plan several months in advance. Over the 5 year process, Leavengoods office was always responsive. They returned calls promptly,answered questions,even submitted my income tax returns annually to the Trustee for me. The second attorney gave me advice that I later found to be incorrect. After meeting with Ian, I knew that things were headed in the right direction. He took a very aggressive approach and was able to fight back against my creditors because he had researched the issues and knew exactly what could be done. Not only was he able to complete my bankruptcy, he also won settlements against creditors who continued to harass me after the bankruptcy was filed. Communication is critical when you are going through such an emotional situation. Although Ian was not always immediately available by phone, he was excellent and getting back to me via phone and email. I can’t tell you how many 11pm emails I got because he didn’t go home until the job was done. I have referred no less than 4 people to Leavengood and Nash. They have all been extremely satisfied!
